They let me out of the office to attend the Norman Childs Interior Course on Monday this week. If ever you get the chance to meet Norman you should; more stories of African outback adventure than a copy of Spiffing Yarns and bloody good photographer to boot!
The day was well organised and alot of fun (if a little hectic when you see nine enthusiastic photographers all try and set up the same lighting!) I even learnt some things I can use for my own practice! So yay all round.
Only dissapointment was Norman capturing in DPP, which as a stalwart advocat of Capture one I found most distressing. If your reading this Norman, give me half an hour to do a demo, I WILL convince you!
The day was topped off with a ton of splendid grub laid on by the staff at Papplewick Pumping station (http://www.papplewickpumpingstation.co.uk/) which you must visit if you are a fanboy of James Watt.
A truly amazing building and some fantastic engineering within, it was almost hard to take a bad picture! However I have tried my best and some before and afters are included below.
